Frequently Asked Questions

Why do I need to visit the dentist twice a year?

We encourage twice a year dental checkups as they give us the ability to partner with patients to prevent many common oral health concerns, and provide more conservative treatment options for those issues we can’t prevent.

Does teeth whitening work?

Not all teeth whitening products are made equal, but Dr. Gail Iebba offers at-home teeth whitening treatments that can be customized to meet almost any dental care goals and deliver smiles up to ten shades brighter.

Are composite resin fillings better?

We prefer this material to the more traditional metal amalgam fillings for a number of reasons. Tooth-colored composite resin fillings offer a more natural looking result, but they are also more conservative than amalgams and create a stronger, more natural bond.

What is periodontal disease?

Periodontal disease is better known as gum disease. It occurs when plaque and tartar buildup at the gums leads to the inflammation, infection, or damage of the supportive gum and bone tissues surrounding teeth.

Who should consider dentures?

Patients with advanced tooth loss may benefit from restoration with partial or full dentures. Partials can be used to fill the gaps in patients’ smiles, and full dentures replace one or both full rows of teeth.

Can I call if I have a dental emergency?

We are always happy to offer care right away in case of dental emergencies. In many cases we’re even able to see patients on the same day they contact us. If you’re not sure whether or not your situation is an emergency, give our team a call anyway. It’s always best to begin restorative treatments as quickly as possible.

Do you take my insurance?

We are happy to process and file claims for most dental insurance plans, review your policy with you, and provide in-network coverage for Delta Dental, BlueCross/BlueShield, and MetLife.
